| About the Columbus Gospel Series |
The Columbus Gospel series was conceived in
2005 by producer Robert Williams as a vehicle to
showcase the profound talent originating from
Central Ohio. The series showcases and presents
to the world the very best of the gospel music of our
community. Volume 1 was released in 2007 and
received outstanding reviews. Columbus Gospel
is one of only a few compilation releases from an
independent label that actually pays a royalty to its participating artists.
The artists in the series reflect the many perspectives of the Christian
experience as well as the true spirit of the city of Columbus. Columbus
Gospel only scratches the surface of the Gospel music talent in our city.
There are several local artists with quality releases and we encourage you
to support them by purchasing their music and going to see their live
performances.
The higher calling of the Columbus Gospel series can be summed up in
its mission statement:To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and
feature the diverse interpretations of that Gospel expressed
through the music of artists from the Central Ohio area, and to
help bring people together from various denominations and
cultures.
Volume 2 is now in production and with each new edition, we will continue
to showcase the very best Columbus has to offer. Any recorded gospel
singer, musician, choir or group can submit their recording for
consideration as long as they reside in the Greater Columbus area
(Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway or Union
counties).
